Problem
We knew that cities like Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, etc., already have grocery apps like big basket and grofers, but in small cities like Bhubaneswar did have any grocery delivery or laundry apps, so we wanted build an grocery and laundery for the local people
Doorvey is a same day delivery grocery and laundry app for Bhubaneswar,Odisha locality . This app helps you order anything related to groceries, the groceries get delivered in the same on the selected time range. This app also helps you to get your laundry washed at the lowest pricing.

Goal
The main goal was to build a MVP app focused on the functionalities and then do some basic marketing especially among college students and apartments and then see the results. As Bhubaneswar was small city we also wanted know how and what kind of people will adopt the app and then target on those specific areas to market and promote the app.

I started the process by analyzing the grocery apps like Big Basket, Grofers, and Ondoor which helped figure out the user flow and what are basic features and categories that I need to include in Doorvey app. Then I started brainstorming for ideas. I started off by first creating the user flow and then started sketching the wireframes of the app. After sketching wireframes and after a bunch of discussions with the founders, we decided on the final design, and then we started working with developers we did few iterations with the design.

The oucome was pretty great, we saw 1000+ download and 4.8 rating in the google playstore, apart from that we were getting around 50+ orders per day in just 3 months after launch in covid lockdown.

Learnings
While designing the Doorvey app, I learned how collaboration can change the app to much more functional and realistic. I learned a lot about the startup environment and business, the importance of taking risks .
As the app was MVP app, the next goal was to build the app with proper UI design and branding and fix issues that were found in the MVP app, and also build an app for iOS users.
